“He took a great deal of time to explain everything to me in detail, and it all went really well.”
Loose in the morning. Fixed by the evening.
When many teeth are missing or can no longer be saved, four to six implants support a fixed bridge for the whole jaw. Under the right conditions you go home with fixed teeth on the day of treatment.

Fixed teeth in one day are usually the right choice if …
Three typical situations from our consultations. Whether it can be planned safely for you, we clarify with an examination and a 3D X-ray (CBCT/DVT).
- all the teeth in one jaw are missing or can no longer be saved
- your denture wobbles, rubs or only stays in with adhesive
- you don’t want a long period without teeth

What fixed teeth in one day really are.
Four to six implants support a fixed bridge for the whole jaw. The rear implants are placed at an angle, which lets us use the bone you have and often avoids a bone graft. The concept is also known as All-on-X, or All-on-4 or All-on-6 depending on the number of implants (brand names of Nobel Biocare).

- 1
The implants
Four to six titanium implants, the front ones straight, the rear ones angled. That way they sit in stable bone and carry the entire bridge.
- 2
The provisional bridge
A fixed, screw-retained acrylic bridge that is fitted on the day of treatment. You smile, speak and eat soft food with it.
- 3
The final bridge
After healing: a high-quality bridge made of ceramic or composite, screw-retained, with no palate plate and no adhesive.
The treatment takes one day. The biology doesn’t.
The phrase must not be misunderstood: under suitable conditions, the surgery and the fixed provisional bridge can happen in one day. The implants still need time to heal in.
Bone quality, bone volume, implant stability, bite and general health decide. That is why we don’t promise it to everyone, but first check which concept can be planned safely.
The provisional bridge you get on the treatment day is fixed. The final restoration is only made once the healing phase is complete, usually after three to six months.
The implants must not be overloaded while they heal in. If you take this seriously, you have the best chance of a result that lasts for decades.
With a 3D X-ray, a written plan and a dedicated contact person who can also be reached in the evening.
Planning begins long before the procedure.
We examine the available bone, gums, bite and remaining teeth. The 3D X-ray provides the anatomical information. The future tooth position and the implant positions are planned together digitally.

Am I a candidate?
Not every anatomical situation is suitable for immediate loading. That is why we first check whether fixed teeth in one day make medical sense for you and can be planned safely.
A short checklist shows you in advance which questions we clarify in the consultation.
From the first conversation to a fixed bridge: five steps.
Before the treatment day you know what happens when, and how long it takes.
- Day 1
Consultation & 3D X-ray
Examination, 3D scan, treatment plan with all the alternatives.
- Weeks 2–4
Digital planning
Tooth position and implant positions are planned on screen, and the provisional bridge is prepared.
- Treatment day
Teeth out, implants in, fixed teeth
Under sedation or general anaesthetic. If stability is sufficient, the fixed provisional bridge is screwed on the same day.
- Months 1–6
Healing
Soft food, regular check-ups. The bone bonds with the implants.
- Afterwards
Final bridge & aftercare
Try-in and fitting of the final bridge. Check-ups and cleaning every six months.
Fixed teeth, telescopic denture or full denture: an honest comparison.
Not everyone needs a fixed bridge. We show you what the alternatives can do and where their limits lie.
| Fixed teeth in one day | Telescopic denture | Full denture | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stability when eating | Screw-retained, like your own teeth | Good hold, removable | Can wobble, needs adhesive |
| Palate plate | None | Usually none | Yes, in the upper jaw |
| Jawbone | Preserved and kept under load | Partly preserved | Recedes |
| Time without teeth | None, provisional bridge the same day | None | None |
| Treatment time | 1 day, final bridge after 3–6 months | 4–8 weeks | 2–4 weeks |
| Care | Like your own teeth, plus check-ups | Take out and clean | Take out and clean |
| Lifespan | Often decades | 8–15 years | 5–8 years, adjustments needed |
Your implantologist in Darmstadt: who places your implants.
Almost every dental practice offers implants today. Not every one has specific training and experience in them. So we show you openly who places implants here and where he learned to do it.

“I felt they were genuinely making an effort and not just trying to get me out of the door quickly.”
“What impressed me most was that he showed me my teeth with a small camera – things I would never have spotted myself as a layperson.”
Common questions about fixed teeth in one day.
Do I really go home with fixed teeth the same day?
If the implants achieve the necessary stability and the other conditions are right, yes: with a fixed, screw-retained provisional bridge. If that is not safely possible, we tell you beforehand and you get a good removable temporary denture until the implants have healed in.
What can I eat afterwards?
Soft food in the first weeks, so that the implants can heal in undisturbed. After that we build up step by step. With the final bridge you eat everything again.
How long do I wear the provisional bridge?
Usually three to six months. During this time the bone bonds with the implants. Then the final bridge is made.
Do I need a bone graft?
Often not. The rear implants are placed at an angle and use the bone you have. Whether that is enough in your case is shown by the 3D X-ray before planning.
Is this the same as All-on-4?
The concept is known as All-on-X, or All-on-4 or All-on-6 depending on the number of implants (brand names of Nobel Biocare). We base the number of implants on your bone and your bite, not on a brand name.
Can this be done under general anaesthetic?
Yes. For this procedure we recommend sedation or a general anaesthetic with an anaesthetic team in the practice. You will hardly notice the day.
What do fixed teeth in one day cost?
Every situation is different, which is why we don’t quote figures online. After your consultation you receive an individual written plan with all the alternatives, explained without any rush.
One call. No sales pitch.
Call us and together we will find a time for your first consultation: an examination, a 3D X-ray if needed, and an honest plan with all the alternatives. What the treatment costs is something we discuss individually, in the practice.
