Telescopic Dentures in Darmstadt

A secure fit – yet still removable

Back to overview

Removable dentures do not have to feel wobbly or insecure. With a telescopic denture, we combine a firm hold with the ability to keep cleaning your restoration thoroughly yourself.

When several teeth are missing, a telescopic denture can be a high-quality way of incorporating your remaining teeth into a removable restoration.

The special principle lies in two precisely matched components.

How does the telescopic principle work?

Suitable remaining teeth are fitted with so-called primary crowns.

The removable denture contains matching secondary crowns. When the denture is inserted, the two components slide into each other and provide a secure hold.

From the outside, the restoration then looks like a complete row of teeth.

Advantages

The denture can be taken out for cleaning, yet sits firmly anchored in the mouth in a clearly defined way.

A further advantage is that your remaining teeth can be strategically integrated into the restoration.

What happens if a tooth is lost later on?

Depending on its design, a telescopic restoration can in some cases be adjusted or extended.

This can be an important advantage, especially when only a few natural teeth remain.

Whether a telescopic denture, an implant-supported restoration or another concept is more suitable is something we decide after examining your individual situation.
